Traveling to Italy
By Dina Mardiana
You may ask, when is the best time to go
traveling to Italy? Well, I can say that every season deserves the best time to go to
visit Italy. Italy is not only beautiful in summer as most people might say, but also in winter.
Traveling to Italy in summer is indeed chosen for most people as it has the hottest temperature and Italian beaches are the perfect place for your summer holiday: Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Naples, also Sardinia (
Sardegna) and even several coastal regions up to the north like Ravenna or Rimini.
But, summer
holiday in Italy is also the busiest time! You will not find cities and beaches in Italy which are not flooded by tourists. Consequently, all the prices get higher too; it gives double impacts for Italian trains and
flights to Italy.
So be careful with your budget, as you may not be just spending on your
traveling itineraries to Italy, but also on Italian products like chocolate, food, shoes, dresses,
all products made in Italy. And one thing, as the temperature can goes up to 35 degrees Celcius, be in mind that you always have to carry on a bottle of water with you.
Meanwhile,
traveling to Italy during the winter time is a great way to enjoy the beautiful sceneries of Lake Como, Lake Garda, or go skiing up to the Appenine (
Appenino) mountains. Appenine is known for its
breathtaking ski path, and compared to other ski destinations, it is a relatively calm region with just a few number of tourists. Venice is I think also much more beautiful during the winter, even when it is covered with snows. But winter in Venice is as much crowded as you see in summer, especially during the New Year’s Eve.
So it is up to your choice whether you would prefer spending your vacation time by
traveling to Italy in summer or in winter. Italy is always beautiful as it is, regardless the seasons.
